Joining a Class

Follow these steps to join a class.

  1. Log in to your Pops account. If you don't have an account, please create a student account.

  2. Click the "+Join" button in the upper right corner.

  3. On the screen that appears, enter the Class Code provided by your instructor and click "Continue."

  4. The Class Code is not the same thing as an Access Key that you may have purchased from a retail store.

  5. If you don't know your Class Code, please contact us with the following information:

  6. The name of your class including the class section number (i.e. COMM 100 - 03)

  7. Your instructor's name

  8. If prompted, for payment please choose how you would like to pay and click "Continue." If your school pays for you or has not issued an Access Key to you, the system will skip this step.

  9. Credit Card

  10. In the first box, enter the name as it appears on the front of the credit card

  11. In the second box, enter the card number, expiration date, and CVC (found on the back of the card) as prompted.

  12. A receipt will automatically be sent to the email address associated with your account. If you need an additional receipt sent to someone else (i.e. a parent or academic advisor), enter their email address in the third box.

  13. Click "Pay Now."

  14. If the transaction is successful, you will now see your class listed under "Active."

  15. If your class is not listed, this means there was a problem with the transaction, please try these steps again. If it fails a second time, please contact us.

  16. Access Key

  17. First, if your Access Key has a silver scratch off area, please gently scratch off this portion to reveal the alphanumeric key below. Note: There are varying designs and delivery methods for Access Keys and not all of them are physical cards and not all physical cards have a scratch off area.

  18. Enter the sixteen digit alphanumeric keycode into the box.

  19. Click "Join Class."

  20. If you receive an error message, try these steps again double checking the keycode was typed in properly.

  21. If the keycode fails, log out and log back in, then try again.

  22. If the keycode continues to not work, please contact us.
