Instructors are encouraged to archive their classes as soon as the class ends. To archive a class, click the three dots next to the class name on your class list. Then click the red folder. Archived classes, retain functionality but do not appear in yours or your students Active Classes list. Classes will be archived by support staff on the following dates (unless prior arrangements have been made, please contact Quick Support for information):

  • Classes with a W## ID: the Tuesday after Presidents Day

For information regarding Class ID names, click here. All holidays here refer to the U.S. Federal Holidays.

What does the F##, W##, S##, or U## mean in my Class ID?

To help instructors keep track of their classes Pops Classroom has adopted a standard nomenclature for Class ID's. These letters and numbers correspond to the class term they are in and the year:

  • F## is used for Fall Classes (generally classes beginning in August, September, or October that last until mid-December)
  • W## is used for Winter Classes (generally the shorter class sessions beginning in December or January that last until early or mid-January)
  • S## is used for Spring Classes (generally classes beginning in January or February that last until late April, early or mid-May)
  • U## is used for Summer Classes (generally the shorter class sessions beginning in May, June, or July that last until May, June, July, or early August)
  • ## Corresponds to the year in which the classes began. Classes beginning in one calendar year and ending in the next will use the year in which the class began
If you create your class yourself, you may see this idenitifier added to your class name at a later time.

How do I create a speech assignment?

Open your course from the Desk. On the Assignments tab click the plus icon and go to Speech. From there, you simply add the name of the speech and a short description. Now you can select any or all of the options of the sub-assignments for a Speech. After checking the check box, select a due date and assign the point value. You can select a feedback form from the prefilled list or create your own (see this article for more information). Next you can add Quick Responses, which peer students will select in real-time when a student is speaking. You can also make this a Group Assignment (see this article for more information). Next click "Create" or you can schedule the assignment for a later date. This new assignment will now appear on the Assignments tab. You can expand the Assignment to access the sub-assignments.
